Graduation ceremony 2022
On September 29, 2022, the IPZ graduation ceremony was held on a large scale for the first time since the pandemic. Over 200 guests celebrated the successful completion of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral theses in the 2021–2022 academic year. Following a brilliant keynote address titled “Something About Evaluation” by Prof. Dr. Thomas Widmer, awards were presented for the best theses at all three levels.
The 2022 award winners are Fabian Aiolfi (BA, “Restricting Electoral Rights of Mobile EU Citizens in Local Elections”), Cheryl Vaterlaus (MA, “Who Votes for Which Populists? A Multiclass Classification of Populist Voters in Europe”) and Matthias Enggist (PhD, “Welfare Politics in a Context of Second-Dimension Salience”).
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
Some graduates have answered questions about their theses and submitted descriptions. In doing so, they vividly demonstrate the achievements of our graduates and the kinds of questions that political science can address.
