Research area Policy-Analysis & Evaluation

The research area 'Policy Analysis & Evaluation' is concerned with the analysis of public policies, primarily in Switzerland. The staff of the research unit carry out research and evaluation projects in a wide variety of policy areas within the framework of research funding and on behalf of public bodies. Special emphasis is placed on the analysis of political decision-making processes and studies on the change of institutional policies as well as conceptual and methodological questions of the evaluation of governmental measures. Furthermore, various research projects deal with questions of political behavior in Switzerland at the national and cantonal level. In addition to project-oriented research, the staff is also active in university and non-university education and training as well as in a consulting capacity.
