Stefanie Walter studied Public Policy and Economics in Konstanz, Montréal, and Barcelona (1996-2003) and received her PhD for a dissertation on the political economy of currency crises from ETH Zurich in 2007. She then held Post-Doc positions at the University of Zurich (2007-8) and Harvard University (2008-9). Between 2009 and 2013 she worked as junior professor for international and comparative political economy at the University of Heidelberg. She joined the IPZ faculty in September 2013 as full professor for international relations and political economy.
