Valentin Lang is post-doctoral researcher (“Oberassistent”) at the Chair for International Relations and Political Economy. The main focus of his research is on globalization, inequality, and the role of international organizations in global economic governance. His current projects deal with the IMF, the UN, and the distributional effects of globalization. He holds a PhD in Economics from Heidelberg University and previously studied Economics, Political Science, and International Relations at the University of Cambridge (M.Phil.), Heidelberg University (B.A.), the University of Mannheim, and Sciences Po Paris. Outside academia, he worked as a consultant, amongst others, for the OECD and the IMF.
