Hannah Smidt studied Political Science at the University of Mannheim, the Institute of Political Studies (Science Po) Lille, and Johns Hopkins University. She graduated with a PhD from University College London in 2017. She held the position of Head of the Research Area “International Security, Peace & Conflict” at University of Zurich and then joined the University of St. Gallen as an Assistant Professor.
International Organizations and Governance, Peace & Conflict Studies with a special focus on United Nations Peacebuilding and Peacekeeping Interventions, Democratization in Conflict-Affected Countries, Human Rights, Civil Society Organizations, and Mixed Methods Research Designs and Quantitative Methods (especially, geo-spatial data analyses).
