Professorship for International Relations and International Political Economy

The Chair for International Relations and Political Economy focuses on international politics. While we cover a wide range of international relations topics in our teaching activities, our research concentrates on questions related to the international political economy and international cooperation. Research at the Chair examines distributional conflicts, political preferences and economic policy outcomes related to globalization, European integration, and financial crises. Two larger ongoing projects cover the mass politics of international disintegration (funded by an ERC Consolidator Grant) and the political economy of the euro crisis (funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation).
