Chris Ewert is assistant at the Chair of Democracy and Public Governance. He studied Political Science and Law at the University of Zurich (2008-2013) and is a doctoral candidate at the Institut d'études politiques, historiques et internationales (IEPHI) at the University of Lausanne. Chris was a researcher and research assistant at the NCCR Democracy for six years. He teaches private governance and content analysis at the Department of Political Science in Zurich and the IDHEAP in Lausanne.
Chris researches governance beyond the state, especially transnational private regulation. He works on regulatory regimes and networks, the institutional structure of regulation, on questions of authorization, legitimacy, and accountability, and on political semiotics.
