Chris Ewert is assistant at the Chair of Democracy and Public Governance. He studied Political Science and Law at the University of Zurich and holds a PhD from the University of Lausanne. Chris was a researcher and research assistant at the NCCR Democracy for six years. He teaches private governance, semiotics, and content analysis at the Department of Political Science in Zurich and the IDHEAP in Lausanne.
Chris studies democracy and analyses governance beyond the state and private regulation. He concentrates on questions of authorization, legitimacy, and accountability. For this, he relies mostly on qualitative methods such as (critical) discourse analysis and content analysis."
