Piotr Koc is a visiting doctoral candidate affiliated with the Chair of Political Methodology. He is pursuing his Ph.D. at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He holds a master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Konstanz.
In his research, Piotr focuses on the modeling of latent variables and comparative political behavior.
During his stay at the Institute, he will be working on a project that aims at, first, comparing the methods of estimation of country-year trends in public opinion from multiple data sources and, second, investigating the causes of changes in public opinion towards gays and lesbians in Europe over the last quarter century.
