Livia I. Schubiger is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, where she is also engaged in teaching courses on political violence and political methodology. Her research interests include political violence and social mobilization, dynamics of violence and mobilization within armed conflict, and processes of post-conflict political development. From January 2010 to June 2011 Livia was a pre-doctoral visiting fellow at the Program on Order, Conflict, and Violence at Yale University (New Haven, CT, USA). While at Yale, her dissertation research was supported by the University of Zurich Alumni Association (FAN fellowship) and the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF fellowship for prospective researchers).
