Born in 1989 in Bulgaria, Siyana obtained her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia in 2012. She continued her education at ETH Zurich as a part of the Masters in Comparative and International Studies (MACIS) program, which she completed in 2016. During the time of her graduate studies, she was a Research Assistant at the Chair for Comparative Politics at the University of Zurich, as well as at the European Politics Group at ETH.
Since February 2017, she is a PhD candidate at the Chair for Comparative Politics at the University of Zurich. Her proposed dissertation project revolves around supranational ideological divisions in international parliamentary institutions and more precisely concentrates on the voting behavior of their constituting MPs.
