Saskia Pauline Ruth is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Political Science at the NCCR Democracy at the University of Zurich and the Center for Democracy Studies in Aarau. Born in 1978 in Stuttgart. She has a Diploma in Latin American Studies from the University of Cologne (Germany) where she continued her studies as a doctoral candidate at the Center for Comparative Politics from April 2008 to September 2013. Her dissertation research focusses on the effect of different linkage strategies of political parties - like clientelism and personalism - on the quality of political representation in Latin America.
