Since September 2014, I have been a PhD student at the University of Zurich, Doctoral Program Democracy Studies, PhD project: Democracy promotion through leverage: the case of Georgia.
Since then I also hold a Swiss Excellence Scholarship. In 2010, I earned Master's degree in International Relations at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs. In 2008, I received a Bachelor's academic degree in Translating and Interpreting from the Ilia State University in Tbilisi (Georgia).
My Research focus is: transition, democratization and democracy promotion.
So far, I was a visiting fellow at the Universities of Fribourg (2012) and Glasgow (2013). I completed various summer schools in quantitative and qualitative methods, among others at the Universities of Ljubljana, St. Gallen, Zurich and at the Central European University.
